Best known as a successful L.A. based musician, Dave Palmer excels even further as an acoustic jazz piano player who combines the virtuosity of Art Tatum with the soul of Herbie Hancock. The tracks on his current release, "Living Etudes", were recorded on a different piano in a different environment giving each song a distinct timelessness.

Dave's other playing experiences include live stints with artists such as Fiona Apple, Seal, Chris Isaak, Joe Henry, Bobby Previte, Wayne Horvitz, MC 900 Foot Jesus, etc... He has also done extensive studio work not just for most of those artists but acts such as Aimee Mann, Twista, Solomon Burke, Turin Brakes, Cake, Lindsey Buckingham, Paul Stanley, and several dozen remixes for bands as diverse as Bush to Chumbawamba.
